1900 Stone Farm House With Additions | Pond Loop, Retrofit
A large spring fed pond provided an ideal solution to lower the heating, cooling, and hot water operating costs for this old home. Geothermal pond loops were sunk into the pond that serve a package unit and a split unit. A decade later a horizontal package unit with a horizontal ground loop was added for a large family room addition. They have enjoyed the savings of not using natural gas for heating.

Ranch Home | New Construction
This sprawling ranch home boasts high ceilings and uses two geothermal units. One geothermal serves the owner’s suite and laundry area and a second unit serves rest of the home. This design is specific to the layout of the home and allows for better air flow and comfort and adds a second point for hot water generation. The geothermal system for this home cost the same as a propane furnace and high efficiency AC unit, but with all the benefits of renewable energy and less operating costs!
Mount Joy, PA
Heat Pump | Retrofit
Burning coal for his 2200 sq. ft. house was getting old for this homeowner. Opting to stay in his home long term, we replaced the 20 year old air source heat pump and coal stove with a package geothermal unit. The switch made an immediate impact on the home’s heating costs. In addition to lower heating bills, the dirty job of burning coal was also not needed. Total heating costs from September 2020- February 2021 (not a mild winter) were reduced to $255!

Historic Victorian Mansion | Retrofit
This three-story historic home (c. 1878, 7,630 square feet) had no central air and the only source of heat was oil. Installation of an 11 ton geothermal system comprised of three units provides cooling and energy efficient heating and hot water. With no need for exterior AC units or venting, the exterior aesthetics of this home stay true to period. The ground loop was drilled around the professionally landscaped gardens. Creative system design and ductwork placement allowed the interior of the home to also maintain its historic appearance.

Forced Air and Radiant Retrofit
This secluded home replaced an oil hot water boiler and AC system with two geothermal units. The old buried oil tank was hazardous to the environment. A combination unit now provides radiant heat, forced air AC, hot water, and also forced air heat for the first floor and basement. A second unit provides forced air heating and cooling to the remainder of the house. The cost of heating, cooling, and hot water for this home was drastically reduced by switching to geothermal. The homeowner has peace of mind knowing they are no longer burning fossil fuels.

Combination Unit | New Construction
A new home build on slab with in-law suite utilizes a 5 Ton combination geothermal system. The layout of this home requires additional in floor radiant zones. The duct system provides cooling to all areas of the home and offsets the radiant heat as needed with forced air heat. The combo unit is unique in that it can provide radiant heating, cooling, and forced-air heating out of one unit.
Chambersburg, PA
Residential | Twister Loop, Retrofit
This installation located near a high water aquifer that supplied water to a fishing habitat required a specially engineered geothermal ground loop. This pre-engineered loop allowed the required heat transfer to occur without drilling as deep. The Trilogy QE 45 provides 100% of the domestic hot water for the entire home as well as zoned heating and cooling for the first floor and lower level. A second geothermal unit provides heating and cooling to the second floor of the home. Natural gas and air source AC systems were removed.
Birdsboro, PA
Three-bedroom home | Geothermal Unit
Situated on a one-acre wooded lot, this three-bedroom home was dependent on oil. A 3 Ton geothermal unit took the place of the forced air furnace. Using the existing duct system, the geothermal unit provides better airflow than the previous furnace and the homeowner has saved hundreds of dollars in oil in just a few months.
New Cumberland, PA
Residential | Retrofit
This home on an average size lot is located in a neighborhood just minutes from I83. Wanting to get away from the rising costs and smell of an oil boiler, the homeowner investigated geothermal options. A 2 Ton split geothermal unit utilizing the existing attic duct system now provides heating, cooling, and hot water while lowering the annual utility costs of the home. Peace of mind associated with no longer being dependent on oil is a plus!
Lewistown, PA
Split | Retrofit
We replaced the old central air system in this brick home with a split geothermal system. While the homeowner opted to keep the hot water boiler in place, just in case, they use geothermal heating even on the coldest of days. Avoiding the use of fossil fuels was a motivating factor for this homeowner. A zone system was also added at the same time to help even out air flow for comfort purposes.
